Support the Mongolia 2026 Team!
First Pres has been invited to serve our partners, Mongolia Campus Crusade for Christ (CCC) in 2026! Our team is preparing and providing a 3-day Women's Retreat for the approximately 60 women on staff. Registration is closed. 
DATES: February 26 - March 9, 2026
OPPORTUNITIES:
  • Donate to one of the Mongolia Team members, click HERE, then select a name from the drop down menu. 
  • Pray for the team! Prayer calendar will be posted here in February. 
  • Help us Commission the team on Sunday, February 22nd in all of our First Pres Worship Services.
  • Attend the Mongolia Recap to hear about the Partnership Visit. Date TBD.

The Mongolia Team Needs Your Help!
The Mongolia 2026 Team will be departing on February 26th, and we need help getting items ready. See below how you can pitch in!

OPPORTUNITIES: 
  • Cricut - If you own a Cricut, we need volunteers to cut out flower petals on different patterns of paper. Needed by February 18th. 
  • Cut Fabric - We need volunteers to cut circles of fabric for a craft we will be doing with the women. We need 2, 3, 4, and 5 inch circles. Join us on Sundays in The Landing (old Library) for a fabric-cutting party or to pick up supplies.
  • Other Crafting Supplies - if you'd like to donate some items for us to take for the crafts, we need some specific items like patterned paper (12 x 12), washi tape and paint markers.

Spring Break Mission Trip: Acuña, Mexico
One Week - One House - Life Change. Join our team as we come together to build a home for a family in need. No prior building experience necessary. Led by Jaime Azuaje.
DATES: March 23-27, 2026
AGES: 8th grade - 12th grade + adult chaperones

First Sundays @ First Pres: Monthly Donations 
On the First Sunday of every month, we have the opportunity to help stock the shelves at Crossfire Ministries' warehouse, which helps thousands in our community get nutritious food at no cost. You can drop off donations before or after worship in the Plaza (Weber St. entrance) or in the Narthex (Bijou St. entrance). 
CURRENT PANTRY NEEDS: pasta, canned tomatoes (paste, diced, whole), canned soup, canned beans

Springs Rescue Mission: Compassion in Action
Springs Rescue Mission invites the community to end homelessness for one neighbor at a time. Their vision is for our city to be a place where lives are restored, neighbors find dignity and purpose, and love multiplies through action.
LOCATION: 5 W Las Vegas St. Colorado Springs, CO 80903
DETAILS: Volunteers must be 18 or older. Volunteer Orientation (held on Saturdays) is required. Create an online account to sign up for volunteer shifts. Click HERE or email SRM (see below).
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
  • Kitchen - Shifts available 7 days a week - Prep food, wash dishes, serve a meal, organize donations
  • Serve as a Group - Groups of 4-10 people for lunch or dinner shifts / Groups can also help with facilities projects
  • High Impact  - Serve on a regular basis on campus with the different programs / Interview & Background Check required

Crossfire Ministries: From Heart to Table
Crossfire is a no-cost grocery warehouse that reflects God’s love amid life’s tight places. Members of our community shop for the food, clothing and toiletries their families need.

HOURS: T, W, TH 10am - 3pm / 2nd & 4th SAT 10am - 1pm

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
  • Grocery Store - Welcome & serve guests, monitor shelves
  • Translation - Use your language skills with guests
  • Prayer - Be on site to pray for and with the guests
  • Warehouse - Drive a forklift, rotate inventory, do pick-ups
  • Hygiene Department - Package personal hygiene items

Family Life Services: Serving Moms in COS
Family Life Services helps single moms and their children build new futures through faith-based community. The goal is for every mom to launch from FLS as the stable head of her household, equipped to meet her family’s challenges.
LOCATION: 1880 S Cascade Ave. Colorado Springs, CO 80905
OPPORTUNITIES:
  • Monday Night Meals - Groups of 3-6 people prepare and serve a meal to the moms and kids. Menu, amount to prepare and instructions provided! Click HERE for more info.
  • Kids Program - Volunteer with a group of adults to care for kids while the moms attend their meetings
  • Gardening/Landscaping - Help maintain the garden & grounds

Catholic Charities: Providing Help. Creating Hope.
Marion House Kitchen offers a free, nutritious, daily meal 365 days a year. Guests include struggling families, seniors on a fixed income, the working poor, veterans, people with disabilities, unsupported teens, and those who are homeless.
LOCATION: 14 West Bijou St. Colorado Springs, CO 80903
DETAILS: Volunteers must register and complete and interview. Ages 16+ / Ages 13-15 may volunteer with a parent or guardian. Meals are served 7 days a week / 10:30am-1:00pm. Click HERE.

  • Kitchen Volunteer - Prep and serve meals (daily shifts)
  • Donation Assistant - Help with donation pick-ups in COS
  • Volunteer as a Group - Groups of 6 or less can serve in the kitchen / Larger groups can do special projects as needed

Pikes Peak Academy: Confidence & Hope
Pikes Peak Academy provides a highly personalized, faith-based alternative high school for students needing a new opportunity to earn their diploma while learning the critical life and employability skills needed to build their confidence and renew their hope.

OPPORTUNITIES:
  • Student Advocate - Be a mentor by helping a student work through key life challenges and learn critical life skills
  • Academic Tutor - Assist students in English, science, and social studies, reading comprehension, project organization, and basic writing skills
  • Lunch Cook - Prepare & serve lunch for PPA students and staff during the 11:05-11:45am lunch hour on Mondays

Welcome COS: Helping Refugees Thrive
WelcomeCOS supports refugees as they rebuild their lives in the Colorado Springs region. By working with churches and volunteers, we hope to help bring long-term integration, dignity, and belonging to these individuals and families.
DETAILS: Training provided. Background Check required.
OPPORTUNITIES:
  • English Language Partner - Give 1-2 hours every week or bi-weekly to work through an ESL curriculum with a client
  • Specialized Helper - help clients fill out applications, create a resume, or understand steps to getting a driver’s license
  • Culinary Connections - help with grocery shopping and food handler courses

Life Network: Valuing Life, Transforming Lives
The mission of Life Network is to cultivate a community that values life through the love of Christ. Life Network provides free pregnancy-related medical services, education, and support through four pregnancy centers &Thrift Stores throughout the Springs.

Reclaiming Hope: Journeying with Survivors
Reclaiming Hope cares for survivors of sex trafficking at the point of recovery, during restoration and reintegration by addressing their physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
