VBS 2023

Blast off into an amazing week with us at First Pres, where we learn what it means to shine Jesus’ light! VBS runs Monday, July 10 through Thursday, July 13, concluding with a VBS celebration Thursday night. At VBS, rising Pre-K through 5th graders will explore how Jesus shined hope, love, forgiveness and joy to the world and how we can do the same with His power! You can expect a week full of faith discoveries, memorable music and epic adventures that help kids grow in their relationship with Jesus. It is sure to be an out-of-this-world adventure. The cost is $5 per camper.

Camp Elim 2023

It’s amazing how the God who created the universe called us to be His own. Join us at Camp Elim, from Sunday, June 4 through Friday, June 9, where we talk about identity in our theme, “Lost in Space: finding your place in God’s space.” Each summer, rising 3rd through 5th graders spend a week at Camp Elim filled with high-energy games, outrageous laughter with friends, and time with God. Campers step out of their daily rhythms and into an atmosphere of genuine love and care from adult leaders who walk alongside them as they grow deeper in faith. The cost is $370 per camper. In a galaxy far away, and in a future not too distant, the crew of spaceship J-316 is on a mission. After their Intergalactic Bible Data Base breaks down, the crew of spaceship J-316 searches throughout the galaxy for inhabitants that still employ the age-old practice of Bible memorization to help them restore the lost Scriptures. At Upbeat Music and Drama Camp, rising 3rd through 8th graders will grow their musical and theatrical gifts while having an amazing time with friends as they learn and perform the musical Star Quest by Word Music. The camp kicks off Monday, June 12 with a final performance Friday, June 16 at 4:30 p.m. The camp runs daily from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The cost is $100 per camper. Registration is now closed.

Rising 6th through 8th grade students will have a wonderful opportunity to attend The Great Escape camp at Silver Cliff Ranch near Buena Vista. Students will have great teaching, worship and small group time—in addition to the great fun they'll have with recreation and activities while enjoying the great outdoors of Colorado. The camp runs Monday, June 19 through Saturday, June 24. Cost is $370 per camper. Please download, complete and return the Release form below.

Rising 9th through 12th grade students will be attending Student Life camp at the YMCA of the Rockies near Estes Park. They will be learning about the Trinity through small groups and main sessions. With great worship and fun recreation and activities, this will be a memorable week that students won’t want to miss. Camp runs Monday, June 19 through Friday, June 23. Cost is $300 per camper.

Student Ministries is creating a trip for juniors and seniors to learn important life skills as they are moving closer to their next chapter in life. Students will travel to California and have the opportunity to interact in the city and learn how to engage in it. How to seek for a church. They will learn how to exegete the city, understand certain aspects of culture and people in the community. How to use the transportation system. Students will be able to stay in a college campus to see what it looks like to start living on their own. Lastly, students will be able to process, reflect, and conclude what it means to be light and life for the city. This year's trip runs Sunday, July 16 through Saturday, July 22. The cost is $400 per student.

Group and individual instruction and coaching, with group performances led by the finest local musicians. String Camp is all about sacred and classical musical performance to the glory of God. It’s an opportunity to grow as a musician and learn to play as part of an orchestra or ensemble. There will be two orchestras—intermediate and advanced—and students will rehearse and be coached in large groups as well as sectionals. The camp runs June 26 to June 30 and ends with a concert on Friday, June 30 at 6 p.m. in the Sanctuary. The camp runs daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The minimum skill level requirement is at least one year of study on the instrument, as well as the ability to read and play from sheet music. Fine Arts Camp 2023

The Fine Arts Workshop gives middle school and high school students the opportunity to express themselves in a variety of media. From drawing to painting, 2-D to 3-D, artists will explore the partnership between art and faith. It is in our DNA to be creative, and our experienced camp staff will help campers tap into that desire. Students will have a chance to display what they’ve learned in an art exhibition in conjunction with the Friday night string concert. The Camp runs 9 a.m. to noon from June 26 to June 30. The cost is $90 per camper.
