CityServe
CityServe Day is a no-strings-attached, city-wide day of service where “all are welcome to serve and be served.” The motivation is simple: when a city prospers, so do its people. Join as we serve schools, parks, local non-profit organizations, and neighborhoods, serving some of the most prominent needs in our city. This event is meant to simply be a starting place, inspiring the community to be engaged with needs in Colorado Springs year-round.
Join First Pres members as we serve alongside each other and fellow community members at the project sites listed below.
Saturday, October 3 | Seven project sites across the city
Dale House
24 E Dale St
- All Congregation
- 9 a.m. – Noon
- Ages 14+
Dale House gives young people leaving hard situations safe housing, job skills, therapy, and steady support. Volunteers move furniture, clean empty rooms, and work on the grounds.

- Wear: Closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing
- Bring: Work gloves and a water bottle
- Park: On the street
- Meet: In front of the house
- Note: Adult supervision required for minors. Not suited to limited mobility.

Hope and Home
4945 N 30th St

- Indoors
A foster care agency whose free boutiques clothe kids who arrive with nothing. Volunteers sort donations, stock and display the store, and deep clean.

- Wear: Closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing

- Park: In front of the main doors, or beside the playground between the playground and the dumpsters
- Meet: In the lobby, just inside the front doors

Crossfire Ministries Pantry

Thrift store sales fund a no-cost grocery store that has fed families since 1992. Volunteers clean and organize the store.

Family Life Services

- Outdoors
Housing and programs for single moms and children leaving homelessness and domestic violence. Volunteers handle maintenance, outdoor upkeep, and winter prep.

- Wear: Weather-appropriate clothing that can get dirty, closed-toe shoes, sun protection
- Bring: A water bottle
- Park: Creekwalk Shopping Center on Cheyenne Road (Fuzzy's Taco, MOD Pizza, Crumbl), far west end of the lot, half a block away
- Meet: In front of the building by the stairs to the main house

Serving Those Who Serve the City
First Pres · 219 E Bijou St

- Families
Families make cards and pack goodie bags for the Police and Fire Departments, pausing to pray at the top of each hour. Kids meet firefighters, officers, and cadets.

Love Your Neighbor Bunk Beds

- Limited mobility friendly
Love Your Neighbor builds and delivers beds so people no longer sleep on the floor. Volunteers build, sand, drill, and stain. No woodworking experience needed.

Joint Initiatives Garden

A community garden supplying fresh produce to three food pantries. Volunteers clear beds, rake, collect debris, and winterize for the season.
