Good dads are good rescuers who fight for what is just and right. Bad shepherds lead us into bad places. The selfish use people for their own pleasure and gain. But God promises to shepherd His people Himself—“I myself.” We can see the promise of Jesus here. God will come Himself to be the Good Shepherd. Bad leaders will be set aside and justice will reign. Jesus is the Good Shepherd who lays down His life for the sheep (John 10:11).
