While at the University of Virginia I developed both a deep love for learning and deep friendships with my roommates. One of my favorite parts of my time in Charlottesville was leading WyldLife at a local middle school for all four years. I spent much of my time hanging out with and mentoring kids leading Bible studies and planning fun events. During the summers I worked at a Christian sports camp called Summer’s Best Two Weeks first as a counselor and later as programs director. That place has a very special spot in my heart and has shaped who I am today.

I studied marketing and graphic design at UNC Wilmington where I served with my college ministry Reformed University Fellowship handling social media merchandise designs and design direction. I also served on the campus care team which organized events that directly served students at UNCW. I have worked as a freelance graphic designer for a year drawing inspiration from the beach and eastern surf culture.

I have worked at a rehab center and at a foster home for the past couple of years. During college I worked each summer at a camp and spent much of the school year with friends in my social club. I am a pretty quiet guy but love to tell stories most of which revolve around these experiences.

I grew up attending a Christian school and was very involved in my youth group. At Harding University I joined a social club called TNT and worked summers at Camp Tahkodah where I grew up attending. After graduation I worked at a rehabilitation and treatment center and later at a foster care placement home. My goal is to keep working in the field of mental health and to start a mental health ministry at a church in the future. God has blessed me with gifts and experiences that I believe He wants me to use to help others. While I am quiet I can be one of the loudest in the room when comfortable. I love to tell stories but also love to hear what others have to say.

At Grand Canyon University I majored in Christian studies while interning at two churches. I also worked as an adventure guide for my school’s outdoor recreation program. In those roles I found purpose in creating environments for people to be welcomed into community encounter God and grow in their God given identities. This has brought me joy in many vocations; however nothing makes me feel more alive than pairing that with my passion for movement. To continue in this passion after graduation I became certified in group fitness instruction and work as a backpacking guide for WayForward Adventures during the summers. I am excited to continue to grow in the Lord in Colorado Springs.

During my time at Grand Canyon University I was part of several faith communities that helped me grow in my identity in Christ. I double majored in psychology and applied business management with minors in spiritual formation and discipleship which deepened my love for both people and ministry. Much of my college experience was spent investing in others through Bible studies and young adult communities where I found meaningful friendships and a strong sense of calling. During my sophomore year I helped launch a young adult ministry in Phoenix called Koinonia which sparked my passion for building spaces where people can encounter God and grow in their faith. I am excited for this Fellows year and the ways I will continue learning to live fully for the Lord in every part of life.

At CCU I was trained in both in depth Biblical study and sound business techniques and principles. I served on the campus discipleship team first as a D group leader and then as a discipleship advisor. I am a passionate reader and I love picking up new skills that I am initially terrible at but determined to improve. Two such skills I am currently working on are piano and cooking. If you ever want to kidnap me offer enchiladas and conversation about C. S. Lewis and I will climb into whatever white van you point me toward.

I have been living in Colorado Springs for a while working with kids with autism. My passion is learning more about autism and spreading that knowledge. I did not want to go to college but on a whim I ended up here in the Springs and at UCCS through God’s will. I did not know anything about Colorado when I moved but God has given me a strong community of faith as I continue to grow. My journey with God has been a rollercoaster but in this past year I have grown much closer to Him. I am excited to see how that continues during my Fellows year.
